                 Married: Oct. 12, 1671.

Biography 

Found in the archives of the Augustinians of Quebec. Marie-Anne made a stay, in 1701, of 25

                       days at the Hôtel de Québec Hospital, from May 1 to May 25

• Marriage: Marie-Anne, 22, married on 7 Oct 1709 with Romain Dubuc, born March 24, 1671 in Quebec City.

• His first wife of June 15, 1693, Anne Pinel died on August 3, 1708.

                  J. Basset priest of Neuville

                 Romain Dubuc already has 6 children born from 1694 to 1707 of the marriage

Romain, son of Jean Dubut (Dubuc) and Francoise Larchevêque, born March 24, 1671 in Quebec City, is a farmer who has the lot number 205, inherited from his father Jean Dubut (Dubuc) in 1698. He was a servant at Jean Bourdon, father, who was the king's attorney in Quebec and owner of the Fiefs Saint John and Saint. Francois. In 1668, on March 4, on the death of Jean Bourdon, father, Jean Dubut (Dubuc) signed a farm lease with Anne Gasnier (the one who took care of bringing Madeleine Auvray to Quebec City) widow of Jean Bourdon.

Marcel Matte bought it in 1954. This corresponds to 1308 route 138.

Death of Romain Dubuc on October 20, 1711 at the age of 40, Marie-Anne is 24 years old and is pregnant with her second child (André). She also has the 6 children of the previous marriage of Romain Dubuc who are between 17 and 4 years old.

She gets married to Etienne Magnan, Feb. 27, 1713, which owns lot 223.

This would correspond to the Auberge to the four delights of Neuville. Born April 26, 1687, also at age 26 at his first marriage.

It must be remembered that at this time, there is a difference between notarial contract and religious marriage:

Marriage contract made before Master Rivet, Royal Notary in the Provost of Quebec, between Étienne Magnan, son, resident of the Côte de Neuville, son of Étienne Magnan, also of Neuville, and Elisabeth Migneron, his father and mother; and Marie-Anne Matte, residing at the site of Neuville, widow of the late Romain Dubucq (Dubuc).

Death: She would have died in 1731 (between the baptism of her son Armand on April 8, 1731 who died on April 9,

and the second marriage of Étienne Magnan on January 7, 1732)

With 5 children, he remarries with Madeleine Déry, who is 22 years old, he in 45, on Jan. 7, 1732, he dies on April 16, 1737, leaving 7 children alive. Madeleine remarries, at age 28 on June 16, 1738, with Pierre Boutet 44 years old. She will have 5 more children.

Marriage contract passed by Master Barolet, Royal Notary in the Provost of Quebec, between Étienne Magnien (Magnan), resident living in the seigneury of Neuville, Saint-François-de-Sales parish, first widower widow of deceased Marie-Anne Mathe (Matte); and Marie-Madeleine Derry (Déry), a minor daughter of the late Joseph Derry and Marie-Elisabeth Arbor (Harbor), her father and mother, assisted by René Derry and Innocent Laroche, her uncles. - December 30, 1731
