Name: Laurent Matte (3.2, 1, -1) Sex: M

· Birth : 19 Jun 1677 to Dombourg, Quebec, Canada

· Baptism: June 29, 1677 in Dombourg, Quebec,   Canada, by the missionary father Cyprien Dufort, the   

  Seminar de Québec. Fr. Henri Debernières wrote the  Act of baptism June 26.

 Godfather : Laurent Lorimier

 Godmother : Barbe Boyer, wife of Paul Cartier.

Marriage: Married Françoise Sylvestre said Champagne 12 August 1702 in Neuville, Quebec, Canada, daughter of Nicolas Sylvestre Champagne and Marie beard nephew. She was born 21 Feb. 1682 in Dombourg (Neuville), Quebec, Canada, and was baptized the next day by Fr. J. Pinguet, priest. His godparents were Jean Hardy and Françoise l 'Archevêque, Jean Dubuc's wife.

The husband didn't sign their name. Were present: Nicolas Matte, father of the groom; Nicolas Sylvestre, father of the bride; Nicolas Matte, brother of the groom; François Sylvestre, brother of the bride. Fr. J. Basset, a priest, officiated.

 She married Simon - Denis Pleau Belleau, born 04 December 1682 in Neuville died December 23, 1749 at the age of 67 years to Cap-health.

They will have a daughter Madeleine Pleau born September 16, 1721 in Cap-Santé and a son François born Feb. 12.

They had a daughter Madeleine Pleau was born on September 16, 1721 in Cap - health. She died on 9 December 1760 at Cap-Santé, Quebec, Canada, and she was buried the next day in the presence of Louis Galarneau and Jean Piche. The father Fillion, priest, officiated.

· Death: 19 Feb. 1712 to 35 years at Cap-Santé, Quebec, Canada. In the presence of Francois Tellier and Étienne Langlois. Fr. Rageot Morin officiated. His son Alexis was born 47 days before.

· Burial:  ??

Father: Nicolas Matte (2.1, -1) 8 Dec. 1636 to Ste. Genevieve in Bray, Ar. Dieppe, Archbishop of Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France. Mary: 12 Oct. 1671, Quebec

Mother: Marie Madeleine Auvray (1, 1, -1) b: 1652 to Saint-Vivien, Rouen, Normandy, France, married: 12 Oct. 1671.

Biography

 Lawrence will be the first to leave a male issue to the Matte. Although he remained only 10 years with his wife, he allowed his sons to begin to develop the region.

Here are a few facts gleaned about its history :

1 July 1698: at the request of Florent de La Cetière (Lacetiere), an upholsterer of Quebec, assignment to appear given to Laurent Matte, inhabitant of Neuville, in order to order him to pay to the applicant the sum of 3 books for food that the latter has provided to him in times of need and necessity, with costs.

1701: According to the inventory of the seigneury of Bélair made March 24, 1701 by Louis Chamballon, Laurent was the owner of the land #20 (see 0-G capsule, map squirrels, batch 98, 99 and 100). As June 1st, 1709 grant mentions that François Richard enjoyed for several years, it is assumed that Laurent would have put him in the Lord shortly after 1701.

1702: Marriage

He sold his land to care for ancestral land and his family? Madeline Auvray has just sold a part of the Earth (see Capsule 1 - B history homeland).

1703: Birth first child March 4, Laurent Neuville (1,3,2,1, -1)

1704: Death of Nicolas (2,1, - 1) on 20 July, birth of Nicolas (2,3,2,1, -1) on 10 August at Neuville

1706: born Joseph Matte (3,3,2,1, -1) to Neuville

It is from here that it becomes more complicated, because in 1708, he finds himself at Cap-Santé in the seigneurie of Sieur Auteuil.  On the left side of the basin of the St. Lawrence, at the back of the lordship of advanced - to the-squirrels, between the seigneury of Jacques-Cartier (40) *, to the West, and the seigneury of Neuville (43) and the seignoiry of Bourg-Louis (44), at the east (Seignoiry Card, Capsule 0-B).

He shifted from the ancestral land or other land in the 2nd concession. Nicolas, his brother inherits the homeland)

1708 to 1712: birth Marie Matte (4,3,2,1, -1) at Cap-Sante

                       Birth Pierre - Alexandre Matte (5,3,2,1, -1) at Cap-Sante

                      Birth Alexis Matte (6,3,2,1, -1) at Cap-Santé, born on 2 January

1712: Died on 19 February.

The events do not stop there.

In page 1, one writes that she remarried with Simon Pleau, on 11 November 1720, that he remains with his brother François Ignace on Earth 22, lots 94 and 95.

Simon Pleau, inhabitant of the fief of the Sieur Auteuil, in the part which is North of the river of Jacques Cartier in the northeast of this Lordship, says fief containing fourteen arpens of front,

Ends in the North is that Southwest is being point still established, and that the depth of the housing of the in front of this Lordship is forty acres, which depth is equal for four in second concessions that the first inhabitant that is on the fief of the Sieur Auteuil in the northeast of the river of Jacques Cartier joining the fief of Belair is named Louis Richard and the last coming to the South-West is called Simon Pleau that the width of the. d fiefdom which is fourteen arpens, there is only four inhabitants.

Simon Pleau and Françoise Sylvestre were their mutual gift March 1, 1702 in front of François Rageot.

Relationships with children of Laurent Matte were not without problems and haunted Simon Pleau and his wife for many years. Order of the intendant dated November 6, 1731 returns the children of Lawrence before the Lord of Auteuil to settle their differences.

1693 (15 February) Concession of a seigneury (1/2 mile of front on 5 leagues of depth from the back of the lordship of tip to the squirrels) by Governor Frontenac and intendant Champigny to François-Madeleine-wealthy Ruette d'Auteuil and heaps and his wife shared in goods, Marie-Anne Juchereau, who named it Auteuil (41). Between 1706 and 1718, on the death of Marie-Anne Juchereau, the seigneury is thus shared: her husband, François - Madeleine - wealthy Ruette d'Auteuil and heaps (10/20), his eldest son, Ignace-Alexandre Ruette (5/20), and Claire - Marie Ruette, wife of Antoine de Crisafy (1/20), Madeleine - Catherine Ruette of Auteuil, wife of Francis of stool (1/20), Charles - François - Marie heaps Ruette (1/20), Pierre Ruette of the Moletiere (1/20) and Louise-Geneviève Ruette , wife of Jean-Pierre Daneau de Muy (1/20).

                           Married 2nd time: February 22, 1751, at Catherine Briere, born September 18, 1711 at Cap-Sante.

Nicolas Matte : Born and baptized August 10, 1704 to Neuville, Portneuf, Quebec, and died 2 Jun 1760       (2,3,2,1,-1) at Cap-Sante to 56 years, Quebec, Canada.

                          Wife on November 24, 1727, Cap-Sante, Marie Godin Rose, born October 04, 1707, to the guardian angel, death: 18 May 1791 - age: 84 (Capsule 3-2)

Marie Françoise Matte : Born 16 Jun 1706 to Neuville Cap-Sante, Quebec, Canada  (3,3,2,1,-1)

                      Death: February 14, 1787 - age: 81,

 Wife on 15 January 1725, Jean-François Petit, born January 16, 1704 in  Neuville,

ratified on 16 April 1725. (Capsule 3-3)

Marie Anne Matte : Born 24 Mar 1708 in Cap-Sante, Quebec, Canada. (4,3,2,1, -1)

              Died: 01 October 1769 - age: 61 to Lotbiniere,

                               Married in 1729, Pierre Garnier-Grenier, born : 1715

              Same name as the 1st husband of his aunt Marie-Angelique, who remains at Lotbiniere (Capsule 3-4) 

Pierre Alexandre Matte : Born 4 Mar 1709 in Cap-Santé, Quebec, Canada, (5,3,2,1,-1)

  Death: May 3, 1776 at age 66 in Cap-Santé, Portneuf, Quebec,Canada.     

  Wife: Marie-Josephine Bertrand, born the: Cap-Sante, Death, 27 January 1710: February, 1782,

age: 72 at Cap-Sante (Capsule 3-5)

  Alexis Matte : Born 2 Jan 1712 in Cap-Santé, Quebec, Canada, and died 1 Oct 1714 in Quebec (6,3,2,1,-1)      City, PQ. (Capsule 3-6)
