Beaussault

Bessault or Beaussault is the village where Charles Matte, the father of Nicolas is buried. Charles died on Friday, June 28, 1680 and Nicolas’ godfather also named Nicolas died on Wednesday, February 18, 1682. Charles Matte paid 60 pounds to be buried in the Chapelle de la Vierge – Bessault Charles was a laborer and merchant. He was 70 years old at his death.
